What Are Hackers?
A hacker is someone who likes to tinker around with computers or other electronic devices. They also are people who use computers to gain unauthorized access to data. Hackers like to explore and learn how computer systems work. There are 2 main types of Hackers.
White Hat Hackers - These are considered the "good guys." These types of hackers use their skills to help systems more secure. They are considered the good guys. Most become Computer Security experts and help protect people from Black Hat hackers.
Black Hat Hackers - These guys are considered the "bad guys". They usually use their skills maliciously for personal gain. They are the people that hack banks, steal credit cards, and deface websites.
There is another type of hacker however.
Grey Hat Hackers - These guys are just hackers that fall somewhere between Black Hat hackers and White Hat hackers.
